This page explains what information Cobblefern collects when you visit, and what we do with it. We keep it simple because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical details when you visit: your IP address, browser type, device, the page you asked for, and the time. This is used to keep the site running and secure.
- Messages you send us. If you email us through the Contact page, we receive your email address and what you write. We use it only to reply.
We don’t have user accounts, a newsletter, or comments, and we don’t ask you to fill in forms to read the site.
Cookies
The site itself sets few or no cookies. Cookies may come from:
- Our hosting and caching tools, which may store small technical files so pages load faster.
- Third-party stores, such as Amazon, after you click one of our links. They set their own cookies to record that your visit came from us, so a commission can be credited. Their cookie rules are on their own sites.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works.

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy after clicking, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The store receives the information needed to record the purchase. See Affiliate Disclosure.
Analytics and advertising
- We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It may use cookies. We will update this page before we begin using it.
Who we share information with
We don’t sell your information. We share it only with:
- our hosting provider, which stores the site and its logs,
- stores you choose to visit through our links, under their own privacy policies,
- authorities, if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Server logs are kept for a short period set by our host. Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to answer you and keep a record of corrections, then deleted.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or ask us to correct it. Use the Contact page. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or CCPA may also give you rights.
Children
Cobblefern is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Links to other sites
Our guides link to other websites. We don’t control them or their privacy practices, so read their policies.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top.
